Online waiver forms signed by QR code or at your front desk.
Put the waiver or consent form you already use online without rebuilding it. Upload the PDF and turn on a Public link: one link or QR code, and everyone who opens it signs their own copy, on their phone or on your front-desk tablet in kiosk mode — no account, no app. You keep a list of who signed, ready to download.
01Turn the PDF you already have into a template.

From the PDF you have to an online waiver form
There is no form builder to learn. The document people sign is your document, exactly as your lawyer or insurer approved it.
- 01
Upload the waiver you already use
Make it a template: drop in the PDF and mark where people sign. Their name and the date can fill themselves in.
- 02
Open the Public link tab
On the template, switch Recipients to Public link and click Create public link. You get one link and a QR code that stay the same for as long as you use them.
- 03
People sign, you collect
Each person can read the document first, then enters their name and email, agrees to sign electronically and draws their signature once — it fills every signature box (initials are separate). Every signed copy lands in Documents under Public link signatures, and while you’re on Pro you can download the list as CSV at any time.
For forms you hand to people you haven’t met yet
A public link fits whenever you can’t list the signers ahead of time — they show up, scan, and sign.
Liability waivers
Climbing gyms, yoga studios, rentals, tours and camps: every participant (or a parent or guardian, for a minor) signs before their first visit, from the booking email or the QR code at the door.
Consent forms
Treatment, participation or data consent that each person gives for themselves. They can read the full document before they sign it.
Registration and sign-up forms
Event registrations, volunteer sign-ups and membership agreements, collected without chasing anyone by email.
Photo and media releases
One link on the event page or a QR code on the check-in table, so each guest signs their own release.
Policy acknowledgements
A code of conduct or safety rules that visitors, contractors or seasonal staff confirm they have read.
Anything signed by one person at a time
A public link is built for single-signer documents: whoever opens it signs as that one signer, and gets their own copy.
Put the link wherever people already are
The link and the QR code point to the same form, so use as many places as you like.
- 01
On your website or booking confirmation
Paste the link anywhere text goes. Copy as email button gives you a ready-made button for your own emails and newsletters.
- 02
Printed at the front desk
With “On your client’s device” selected in Share (the default), download the QR code as a PNG and print it. People scan it with their phone camera and sign on the spot.
- 03
On a shared tablet
In Share, choose “On your business device” and open that kiosk link on the front-desk tablet: paste it into the tablet’s browser, or scan its QR code with the tablet camera. You don’t need to sign in on the tablet. After each signature it shows a confirmation, then returns to a blank form after 20 seconds — or after 2 minutes without activity — so the next person starts from an empty form, not the last one’s details.
- 04
Check it as a signer first
Preview as signer opens exactly the page your signers see: who is asking, the title, and the documents themselves with every place to sign marked.
Know exactly who needs to sign?
Then a public link is the wrong tool. The same template has two other ways to send, next to it on the same page.
- Single send
- Fill in who signs. We’ll create one envelope you can review before it goes out. Use it when you know who signs these documents.
- Bulk send
- Pick up to 50 people from your contacts, and each one gets their own copy by email: for example, every employee signing the same policy. Bulk send is part of Pro.
Questions about public links
- Does a waiver signed through a public link have legal effect?
- It can. Electronic signatures from Easy Sign may have legal effect under Canadian provincial e-commerce legislation (e.g., the Ontario Electronic Commerce Act, 2000, or Quebec’s LCCJTI), as well as the ESIGN Act (US) and eIDAS (EU). Whether a given document can be signed electronically depends on the jurisdiction and document type; wills and powers of attorney, for example, are excluded in most provinces. Each signed copy comes with an audit certificate recording the name and email the person entered, when they signed, and their IP address and device. A public link does not verify identity, and the certificate says so. In Quebec, no one can exclude or limit their liability for bodily or moral injury caused to another (Civil Code of Québec, art. 1474): a form there can show that the person was told about the risks and the rules, but it cannot release anyone from that liability. Whether a waiver holds up depends on its wording and the law that applies, not on how it was signed. Easy Sign provides the signing tool; you are responsible for your form: its content, having a parent or guardian sign for a minor, and any rules on language or sensitive information (such as health information) that apply to you. This is general information, not legal advice — have yours reviewed by a lawyer.
- Do signers need an account or an app?
- No. They open the link or scan the QR code and the document opens right there. Tapping Sign here asks for their first name, last name and email; then they sign with a finger or a mouse, right in the box they tapped. It works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
- How does each signer get their copy?
- Two ways. The thank-you screen has a Download your copy button, and we email the address they entered a link to download their copy (valid for 30 days). To keep the form from being used to flood someone’s inbox, one address receives up to 5 copies in any 24 hours across all public links. If the copy can’t be emailed (past that limit, for example), a signer on their own device can still use the on-screen download; on a kiosk tablet, which never offers a download, the screen asks them to get a copy from you.
- Can I pause the link, or replace it if it ends up somewhere it shouldn’t?
- Yes. Turn off Accepting signatures to pause the form; people who open it see that it isn’t taking signatures right now. Reset link creates a new link: the old link and every printed QR code stop working immediately. People who already signed are not affected.
- Can people sign one after another on a shared tablet?
- Yes, with kiosk mode. The tablet goes back to a blank form after each signature, and the tablet doesn’t offer a download: each person gets their copy by email. If the copy can’t be emailed (for example, their address has already received 5 copies in the last 24 hours), the tablet asks them to get a copy from you instead.
- Where do the signed copies go?
- Into Documents, under Public link signatures. They stay there while you’re on Pro, even if you later delete the template; if your Pro subscription ends, they follow the rules for former Pro accounts described in our Privacy Policy. Download list (CSV) gives you every signer’s first and last name, email, and signing time in both UTC and their own time zone. Each time someone signs, we also email you the signed PDF and its audit certificate as attachments when they fit in an email (if they’re too large, or that email is rejected, we send one that links to them in your account instead).
- Which plan do I need?
- Public links are part of Pro (CA$9 a month or CA$79 a year). The template needs a single signer, and its documents can add up to 4 MB, because everyone who signs gets their own copy. Signatures collected through public links don’t count toward your storage.
Included in Pro — CA$9 a month
Pro is CA$9 a month or CA$79 a year, flat — not per seat, not per signature. It includes unlimited envelopes and templates, plus bulk send, alongside public links.
